Pontus Nauclér: Seeking to reduce antibiotic resistance with the right treatment at the right time

Pontus Nauclér is hoping to improve the treatment of severe infections while reducing the development of antibiotic resistance by combining data from registries and medical records with AI and clinical studies to make antibiotic treatments more precise. Pontus Nauclér was appointed Professor at Karolinska Institutet on 1 January 2025. 

Pontus Nauclér vill förbättra vården av svåra infektioner och samtidigt bromsa utvecklingen av antibiotikaresistens. I sin forskning kombinerar han register- och journaldata med AI och kliniska studier för att göra antibiotikabehandlingar mer träffsäkra. Pontus Nauclér utnämndes till professor vid Karolinska Institutet den 1 januari 2025.
