Vicente Pelechano Garcia: Seeking to understand RNA better and to contribute to new therapies

RNA is central to how cells function. Through the detailed study of RNA that combines molecular biology with advanced bioinformatics, Vicente Pelechano Garcia hopes to contribute to the development of a new generation of RNA-based treatment and diagnosis. Vicent Pelechano Garcia was appointed Professor at Karolinska Institutet on 1 May 2025. 

RNA är centralt för hur alla celler fungerar. Vicente Pelechano Garcia närstuderar RNA genom att kombinera molekylärbiologi med avancerad bioinformatik. Målet är att bidra till en ny generation RNA-baserad behandling och diagnostik. Vicente Pelechano Garcia utnämndes till professor vid Karolinska Institutet den 1 maj 2025.
