The Medical Statistics Unit – Collaborations between statistics and clinical research

Are you in need of a statistical power or sample size calculation? Would you like to discuss your statistical analysis plan with an expert? Do you think your research project can benefit from having a statistician on board? If yes, then you have come to the right place!We at the Medical Statistics Unit (https://ki.se/en/lime/medical-statistics-unit) at the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME), provide statistical consultation in various formats ranging from short meetings to longer collaborations. We are dedicated statisticians with various background such as biostatistics, causal inference, epidemiology, medical image analysis, and spatial statistics - just to name a few. Most importantly, we all have long experience in building bridges between the science of medical statistics and clinical research conducted at KI. We offer support for writing grant applications, ethical approval applications, and statistical analysis plan writing. We can help with survey design and item response analysis. We, if invited, are also happy to collaborate in science by being part of research projects from early on, including: study design, data collection andmanagement, conducting of statistical analyses, visualization of results and manuscript writing. We offer courses and seminars in statistics at different levels. We are also actively collaborating with the Centre for Bioinformatics and Biostatistics and are involved in Clinicum: Common support structures for clinical and translational research within KI and the Stockholm Region.Anyone is welcome to contact us at medstat@ki.se and together we can find the best project specific solution.
