COMPILATION OF FOUR INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEOS REGARDING HYBRID SETUP FOR ZOOM

AV system
1. Press “QuickStart”.
- Startup could take up to 1 minute.
2. Press “Lights”.
3. Turn whiteboard lights OFF.
4. Set “podium lights” to medium and “audience lights” to maximum.
5. Press “Web meeting”.
- Camera startup could take up to 1 minute.
6. Press preferred camera preset. “1” is suggested.
- Now the room system is ready for hybrid and you can continue by setting up your computer.
Camera
1. Start “Zoom” on your computer and go to “Settings”.
2. Choose “Video” in the menu.
- Your default camera will be selected. Let’s switch to the room camera instead.
3. Connect the room HDMI cable to the computer.
4. Connect the room USB cable to the computer.
5. Return to Zoom and select “USB Capture SDI” as camera.
6. Adjust for low light, if necessary.
Audio
4. Return to Zoom and select “Audio” in the menu.
5. Select “Shure P300” as speaker and as microphone.
6. Test speaker volume and adjust if necessary.
7. Test microphone and make sure that the test recording is heard through the speaker.
8. If the microphone test fails to record your voice, check if the microphone you plan on using is turned ON.
Recording1. Start “Zoom” on your computer and go to “Settings”.
2. Select “background & Effects” in the menu.
3. Check if “Blur” or KI logo is appropriate (probably not).
4. Choose “None” if you plan on recording in a lecture hall or conference room.
5. Select “Recording” in the menu.
6. Choose an appropriate location for your recording. It should be easy to find later on.
7. Check “Record a separate audio file for each participant” so you can mix the audio after recording. This is especially important if you plan on publishing the final recording.
8. Check "Optimize for 3rd party video editor”. Preparing for editing afterwards also applies to video, especially if you plan to record the camera in HD.
9. Check “Record video during screen sharing” if you wish to show the camera when sharing your screen. If unchecked, the camera will not be recorded during screen sharing. The subsequent item decide if the camera is recorded on top of the shared screen or next to it. The latter will dramatically shrink the recorded share size.
