Magdalena Åberg
Magdalena Åberg (born 1972) is a painter based in Helsinki. She has been working as an artist, with exhibitions in Finland and Europe, for about 25 years. Besides oil painting, she also writes poetry and sometimes uses ceramics as her medium. For some years, illness has been an important theme in her art. Last year she curated a group exhibition on this theme, Morbus, at the private museum Villa Gyllenberg in Helsinki, and the year before her poetry book Mönster utan (ö-)prickar, dealing with memory loss, was published.
